The boost in growth plate height by ICI in the ovx ERAF20 mice resulted in an elevated tibia and femur length (four.2 and two.8 , respectively, P 0.017) and was specific to the appendicular skeleton, as neither the crownrump length (axial skeleton) nor the total body weight was altered (Table 1).
